Paul Callahan, DDS

Dr. Paul Callahan received a Bachelor of Science degree, summa cum laude, in 1981 from St. Bonaventure University.  He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1985 from the Medical College of Virginia. Dr. Paul Callahan received the number one ranking amongst a peer group of more than 30 general dentists at Parris Island upon his separation from the U.S. Navy in 1988.

Dr. Paul Callahan serves as an advisor for the Greater Loudoun Study club, mentors young dentists, and has been approached to speak nationally on practice management and customer service. He has served as a Merit Badge counselor and Committee Member for his son’s Boy Scout Troop. His hobbies include golf, gardening, swimming and running.  “Golf is like dentistry – it’s a game of honor and integrity where you call penalties on yourself rather than trying to break the rules and not get caught.”

Karen Callahan, DDS

Dr. Karen Callahan received a Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and also received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, cum laude, from the Medical College of Virginia in 1985. Dr. Karen Callahan was chosen as the personal dentist of Parris Island’s commanding general while serving in the U.S. Navy.  Her hobbies include golf and cooking. She has served on countless school committees and organizations. “If I could, I’d practice dentistry on the beach.”

The Callahan’s have been featured in numerous print articles in the Metropolitan DC area for customer service and quality of care; voted by either their patients or dental colleagues as leading area health care providers.

The Callahan’s extensive postgraduate continuing education training makes them both eligible for the Academy of General Dentistry’s prestigious Fellowship Award.
